He was only 5 years old when his father passed away. His mother was poor and could barely give him and his brothers food to eat. His big sister was forced to an early mariage so that she could use her husband's ressources to assit her mom in caring for the boys.
He was forced to learn how to cut trees as a child. He became and expert in crafting wooden morter and made it a business when he was 12. his childwood was stolen from him as he has to strive and survive. he was ntelligent and he was brave. his now married 15 years old big sister paid his education in secondary school. he got a qualification and succesfull passed the comon entrance to the teachers training school. he finished his training and married.
He was 35 when he became blind with a wife and 6 kids. He suffered and went to coma 3 times. battled so hard to keep his moral up because he had to care for his children. He ended up having 8 kids; of which 6 girls and 2 boys. He rose them up with his meager salary as a civil servant and battleing constantly with is health. 5 times he suffered strocke and 5 times he got up. He was an amazing christian. His faith was great and his life of prayer can be attested of by anyone that was close to him. In his blind state he asked to be put prematurely on retirement. He learned to write and read the 'braille language'. He became a leader for fellow blind people.
He taught his children resilience and courage. He could pay all their fees and they all graduated from college, except the oldest child that dropped out to become a teacher like him. He is a model of success in the midst of adversity. Until he returned to glory after fulfilling his destiny, he was a model of integrity. i could hear some people saying 'Lion is gone!' He was my father; He was and is my hero and i'm so proud of having had the priviledge of carrying his genes and benefit from his heroic life style. He will forever remain in me because legends Never die. YOU HAVE NO EXCUSE TO FAIL
